Back when Trump was first elected in 2016 I expected whoever moved into the White House next would be lucky to find more than the Whos of Whoville did when they awoke Christmas morning: Hooks and some wire and a crumb much too small for a mouse. I guess it wasn't quite that bad, although Melania did put up those ugly-ass bloody Xmas trees.

Metaphorically, however, it was probably worse than I expected, and the kleptocracy is set to continue. There's no word for combining kleptocracy with kakistocracy, although I guess the one contains the other, really.
