It's come to my attention, however, that the design for the dime was carried over from the Biden administration. Which is not to say that that the Citizens Coinage Advisory Committee hasn't been infected by the same zeal for fascism as everyone else. They certainly have lost whatever enthusiasm they might ever have had for decent typography, because these new coins are an absolute disgrace in that department. Also: grumpy George. What the hell, man? After using Laura Gardin Fraser's design for ole Georgie, which is a really lovely coin, they switched to this execrable design from white male DEI failure John P. McGraw. Okay, maybe he's none of those things. Maybe he's really wonderful and just fucked up this one time. Carving for coinage is a tough job.

Thankfully I have yet to encounter any of this bullshit. Bad enough I have to keep a Sharpie around for blacking out Mnuchin's fucking name.
