What The Fuck, America?

NEW COMIC TWO OR THREE TIMES A WEEK, OR WHEN THE MOOD STRIKES

There's a Greek word you've probably heard. Hubris. It means excessive self-confidence and it's the kind of thing the gods used to punish. Judging by the distinct lack of lightning striking down anyone in the Trump administration, and the fact that no one has been turned to stone, swallowed by Scylla or Charybdis, or otherwise made to suffer, except perhaps by being hideous and unloveable, the gods have given up on the hubris beat.

It's hard not to imagine that the Department of Justice's legally mandated release of the Epstein Files -- which specifically commanded "No record shall be withheld, delayed, or redacted on the basis of embarrassment, reputational harm, or political sensitivity, including to any government official, public figure, or foreign dignitary" -- with many hundreds of pages literally solid black is an act of monumental hubris, a giant "fuck you" to Congress, saying that laws don't matter and the executive can do whatever it wants.

Who's gonna stop them? Probably no one. No one's done a fucking thing for the five years of Trump regime we've endured. I mean, yes, he was convicted of sexual assault and financial impropriety, but what did any of that accomplish? Nothing. This time Ro Khanna is making noise about impeachments of DoJ officials. The fact that they're "mulling" this and don't actually have a round in the chamber ready to pull the trigger tells you how serious they are. Has any Democrat heard of contigency plans? I guess not. Fucking losers, all of them.

(Note: Groundhog's dialogue in the second panel is a direct quote from J.D. Vance before he became Trump's Vice President.)
