Lame Duck: Everyone's favorite lame duck here to wrap up the year, the presidential term, and democracy as we know it. Lame Duck: We had a lot of really great stuff in the pipeline. And all of it's gonna be blown away by the new guy. Like Hamilton said, "Men often oppose a thing merely because they have had no agency in planning it, or because it may have been planned by those whom they dislike." Although in this case it's also because they're goddamn ghouls who revel in the suffering of others. Lame Duck: We're not gonna apologize though, not for somehow losing to the worst presidential candidate ever offered in these United States. No sir, this is your fault for not showing up. Could we have enforced the 14th Amendment? Could we have prosecuted Trump more assiduously? Could we have maybe governed? You know the answer, friends. Lame Duck: Well, hasta la vista, guys. Nothing the Trump administration does is gonna affect anyone I know or care about. May the wind always break behind you, may you always be on your back, and may the smoke get in your eyes.
