Recently Bruce Springsteen opened his Land of Hope and Dreams Tour in the United Kingdom by calling Trump's administration "corrupt, incompetent, and treasonous". Of course Trump had to reply in his usual way.

There's a sense in which this is trivial but another in which it's very serious. Robert Anton Wilson noted in his essay "Celine's Laws", collected in The Illuminati Papers, that after many decades of employing more and more secret police, Russian officials reached the point of being terrified of painters and poets. When the President of the United States starts thinking of Bruce Springsteen or Taylor Swift as a problem to be solved, the straits are dire indeed.
