I'm unsure of how to square this but maybe I'm overthinking it. The Smithsonian hates America, so all their exhibits are about how horrible it is and how bad slavery was, but then the most powerful man on the planet, putative elected leader of that same America, is the one saying how truly terrible American cities are. Things are so bad he needs to call out the National Guard to enforce laws about...apparently walking and driving around freely.
