Pete Hegseth, who shouldn't be in charge of a disused manhole cover, fired a bunch of people at the top of the military hierarchy, including General Randy "Randy" George, a guy who was appointed for a four-year term in 2023 but was asked to retire so Hegseth could promote one of his (drinking?) buddies. Even prosecuting a war takes a back seat to nepotism!

I'm not going to pretend that Gen. George is a great guy. I know approximately zero about him and sort of assume anyone at his rank is an asshole of one kind or another. But I'm fairly certain if the Trump Brain-cell Trust wants him out, he's the guy who should be in that position. I'm guessing he's one of the guys who was, like, maybe threatening no quarter and saying we're going to bomb civilian infrastructure is bad and illegal and bad.
