NEW COMIC TUESDAYS AND FRIDAYS AND WHEN THE MOOD STRIKES
The new budget is out but it's less Spielberg and more Michael Bay. Trump's wishlist includes the destruction of the NEA and the CPB, killing some key NASA programs in favor of, I'm going to assume, funneling more space money to the military and private companies his friends run, and various other cuts to Medicare, Medicaid, SNAP, WIC, and so on, about which more tomorrow.
If you think all these cuts are necessary to curb runaway spending, ha, joke's on you, Obama's spending was by no means profligate (or especially out of line with his predecessors'), and anyhow Trump doesn't want to curb spending, just spending on you. He's perfectly happy to lob freebies at the rich and the military and that all would to add up to an increase of the deficit. P.S. Deficits are not, in and of themselves, bad things.
Curious that Trump borrowed President Obama's phrase, though.
