As Max Fisher pointed out in a tweet, the North Korea deal is looking a lot like the Iran deal. Trump dumped the Iran deal; what makes the North Korea deal any better? I'm going to guess it's related to the fact that the right wing in the U.S. isn't especially interested in going to war with North Korea (except probably John Bolton) but they've been itching for war with Iran for years and years. Mostly this is because of Israel. And of course this is why North Korea has a nuclear weapons program, and why Iran had one, and why Trump's approach to both is so ridiculously dangerous.
In case anyone asks, I think the proper approach here is diplomacy with both countries, preferably while making sure neither of them get or keep nuclear weapons. But I'm just a cartoonist.
